The Superposition of God: A Journey Beyond Time and Manifestation

And this is one of the paradoxes reverberating through the silence of existence: God is, and God is not. This contradictory truth cannot be a binary but should be a spectrum, as if a coin suspended in mid-flip, both heads and tails contained in its potential. The essence of God, of being itself, is thus revealed as the unmanifested potential—an energy poised at the edge of creation and annihilation.

The Ripple in the Void

It is to see the appearance of everything from nothing. The nothing is neither full nor empty; it is the canvas of infinite possibility. When something appears—a ripple, a sound, a thought—it momentarily departs from the nothing, vibrating with life. That vibration can be pleasant or unpleasant, harmonious or cacophonous. Yet all vibrations fade, returning to the stillness from which they arose. This cycle of manifestation and disappearance brings forth the concept of time.

ripple

Time, in this structure, is the trajectory of a ripple—the arrow of a fired bullet. It stretches between the moment something appears and the moment it dissolves. Yet, this movement is illusory when viewed from the perspective of the void. From the vantage of the unmanifested, there is no time, for nothing has truly begun or ended. The ripple was never separate from the stillness; it was always a part of the void.

The Superposition of Self

This brings us to one of the profoundest conclusions of the journey: one's passage through time, indeed, is one through the self. At one extreme end of time stands manifested "I," the finite bounded self with the illusions of beginnings and endings. To the other extreme end there goes the eternal "I" of the unmanifest source, infinite void known through no bounds. These two ends are not disparate; they are the same. The arrow of time, which seems to stretch across the vastness of existence, collapses into a point. From "me" to "me," what takes time? None. Because the traveler and the destination are one, the journey takes no time.

The Dance of Potential and Manifestation

In this realization, we find the essence of God—not as a being to be believed in or denied, but as the infinite potential that underlies all existence. God is the superposition, the state of readiness before the coin lands. When it does land, when something manifests, it is a fleeting moment—a ripple in the void, a sound in the silence. Yet, even within its transience, it has eternity within it. For every expression is a testament to the unexpressed, just as every note played on an instrument reminds us of the silence that bounds it.

self

This dance of potential and manifestation, of silence and sound, is the rhythm of existence itself. To see God in such a light is to step beyond the necessity of belief or disbelief. It is to witness the eternal interplay of being and non-being and to recognize that God is and is not.

The Timeless Journey

The spiritual journey, therefore, is a realization of timelessness rather than moving through time. It's a journey from the ripple to the void, that is, from the broken self to the unified self. It's the realisation that we are that sound and the silence and the bullet and the stillness it departs from and returns to.

In the end, no end. Only the endless now, where all things arise and dissolve, where God exists and does not exist, where time begins and ends in the same breath. It is the profound paradox of existence—a paradox which does not invite us to solve it but to live with it, to live through the infinite within the finite, the eternal within the ephemeral.

And in this living, we find we are not different from the void, from God, from all the infinite possibility of all that is and is not. We are the wave and the quiet, the noise and the silence, the coin and the hand flipping it. We are, and we are not.

I think, this is the truth beyond time. This is the superposition of existence. This is the journey home.
